Getting clean and sober is not easy. My stay at 1st step was the best decision of my life. They saved my life. They treated me with kindness, understanding and compassion. The fear of detoxing keeps many of us addicts from seeking help. They made me comfortable throughout the process and kept me busy. I did not suffer. They had a great helpful staff, good food, yoga, art therapy and a bio chair which really relaxed me. They prepared me physically and mentally for the next phase of my journey. Thank you all for caring and being there for me every step of the way.

First Step Detox was awesome! The first detox that I have been to that did NOT take a punitive approach. The staff were caring, compassionate, had empathy and respect. I felt very safe from the minute I entered this facility. I had confidence in the detox protocol, and was very comfortable and felt supported. There was always someone to talk to. They calmed my anxiety and were very well trained to help and reassure patients. This is the very best detox. Do not be afraid. They will help you get through your detox with love and compassion o

I love First Step. The gave medical attention love and care to my friend she needed to start. Then they also let her stay in the clinical Residential program There that they offer after detox. It's an amazing program. The clinicians helped her so much. She opened up and got vulnerable with them. She said she never felt so much love and support from the staff in any other facility that she's been in. She got through a lot different emotions during her stay at First Step Detox. She got the rest that she really needed. Originally she thought she was ready to leave Detox on the 5th day. But when she decided to stay for another week she was so glad that she did. I am so grateful for the facility , and all the staff.

I went to first step on my way to Beachside Rehab and it was a very pleasant experience. The counselors there were very understanding and helped relieve my anxiety about going to treatment.
